Review: Acnomel Acne Vanishing Cream
Retails for around $5CAD. I haven’t found this anywhere except for Wal-Mart. Make sure to look in the health and beauty area where they keep stuff like shampoo and mouthwash.. it’s located in small section stocked with acne care products.
Acnomel – The most effective over-the-counter acne medication you can buy. Acnomel fights break-outs before and during occurances, eliminating existing blemishes and helping to prevent future breakouts. Deep cleans pores and absorbs excess oil to let clear, clean, healthy skin show through. Cleanse the skin thoroughly before applying medication. Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer one to three times daily. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a physician. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.

ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL 11 %, RESORCINOL 2 %, SULFUR 8 %

Nope, not really. For acne scars I’d recommend something with an AHA or BHA.. I think Neutrogena makes an acne scar fading cream?
Also try Vitamin E oil, I know it’s worked for some!

Sulfur products are the best, esp for cystic acne. I love Acnomel. Also, you should check out Dr. Joesoef’s 10% sulfur soap. Google the website. They have great sulfur products. Also, you can e-mail them for a free sample. Their sample sizes are very generous.

I went to the one in Dufferin Mall. You have to make sure to check the Acne care section in the Health section, it’s not with the cosmetics. Hopefully you can find it, I think it was near the middle or bottom. Good luck!

lol That’s true, it’s usually the case. We hardly EVER have BOGO sales! =) We do have some lovely brands that aren’t stocked in the US, though, such as Annabelle. =D The public health care isn’t bad, either!

did u try tea tree oil? thats the only thing that worked for me. u can find the 100% one at SDM. Mix some drops with a cup of water and use as toner. U can also use the 100% one as spot treatment. Its natural and it doesnt dry. Give it a try. Good luck!

I have the cln&clr spot treatment and that doesnt really work at all for me.

It’s always tricky …
It’s always tricky when it comes to ‘layering’ products. Sometimes you get something that works brilliantly, and sometimes it’s disastrous. I’d recommend your normal routine, and then trying Acnomel to spot-treat one zit. See how your skin takes to it, and it it’s more effective than Benzaclin alone (i.e. zits on the rest of your face with only Benzaclin). If you have super sensitive skin, I’d spot-test the two layers on an area like behind your ear or under your chin where it won’t show.

=D SpectroJel, SpectroJel, SpectroJel. Um.. and anything from Neostrata, especially their moisturizers that contain AHAs. Neostrata products are available over the counter in Canada and are often prescribed by dermatologists because they’re like medical-grade cosmeceuticals. I think in the States you need a prescription, though, which would mean having to visit a dermatologist. =D And also! Poutine. =D

could you maybe guess what would happen if i use this with benzoyl peroxide products? im using benzaclin, and it doesnt dry my face out, but it doesnt totally take care of everything.. what do you think will happen if i used the benzaclin all over my face, moisturized, and then used the acnomel as a spot treatment at night?? you seem to know a lot about the chemistry of it all. thanksss
