I have oily skin and constant breakouts. I wear makeup to cover this up and it works, but it is still visible under makeup so I wonder what are some home remedies or products or anything that works to treat acne. Thank you in advance.

Well first you gota lay off the makeup and let your skin breath!!
Sleep more!! Drink more water!!!
You can use toothpaste, facial cleansers i.e Simple, Johnsons Face washer. I use these as they are soap free so they dont damage my skin.
And more sun.

Best thing I ever did when i had acne was to rinse my face several times a day or whenever oily with plain old water. massage a bit so the pores get clean. i felt like a guinea pig for those years i spent with dermatologists. it wasnt until i stopped seeing them and just kept my face clean that things started clearing up.

Do not use toothpaste! It will leave dark marks if you leave it on too long.

Get some benzoyl peroxide from the doctor or order some online from acne.org

Clean your face when you wake up, if it gets really oily, and before you go to bed. Try to avoid touching it too much as well. My skin cleared up immensly when I stopped drinking pop and eating junk food. Drinking water helps.

I use to have the same problem
    -STEP 1: wash your face
Wash your face no more than two times a day. If you wash it too much, you’re skin will dry out and more oily will produce. Foaming cleanser is best for oily skin. Since you wear make-up, I would recommend using a make-up remover foaming cleanser at night. This drastically helped clear my skin.

-STEP 1.5: exfoliate while you wash your face
I use a facial scrub that cost $1 at Walmart. I apply my cleanser on it and gently scrub my face. This will help get rid of acne by getting rid of the dead skin build-up. I use it each time I wash my face. If you were to choose to use a face wash with exfoliating beads, only use it twice a week.

    -STEP 2: tone your skin
I use witch hazel, which only cost $1-2 to tone my face. This balances your pH level to keep your skin from being oily. This will also help get rid of the excess dirt left on your skin. Just use it with a cotton.

    -STEP 3: moisturize
Use moisturizer with SPF in the morning to protect your skin from wrinkles and brown spots in the future. And any moisturizer at night. Your skin is the last organ to receive water, so you must moisturize your skin.

-These 3 steps are done to help you maintain a daily facial routine. A routine will help your prevent breakouts. Please don’t try too many stuff at once because it will ruin your face. So just stick to a routine.

    -HOME REMEDIES
Drink lots of water! This will flush away bad stuff in your body. To make sure you’re drinking enough water, check to make sure your pee is clear as possible. I know it’s gross, but it works.
Excercise. This will produce a high blood circulation.
You can use toothpaste as a spot treatment overnight help get rid of zits.

Here are a few tips that will help you know how to treat acne at home.
    1. If you have red angry looking acne, don’t touch it. If you squeeze now, all you’ll do is force the contents deeper into the skin that will make matters worst. And all you’ll end up with is redder, angrier acne than you had before. Don’t do it.
    2. If you have a yellow custard top? Go for it. These beauties CAN be squeezed but there’s an art to it. Here’s how. Wash your hands thoroughly to avoid trouble and infection. Put a tissue over your finger. Why? Because you want the contents of the spot on the tissue, not splattered all over the mirror. Using the side of your thumb and the end of your finger, very gently start to squeeze. Don’t whatever you do, use your nails as this will damage your skin. Stop when you’re applying a lot of pressure and nothing is happening and you see clear fluid, rather than yellow grotty stuff and the spot begins to bleed. When you’ve finished dab it with antiseptic. Once the custard bit is out, the spot will heal more quickly than an unsqueezed yellow top would, providing that you now leave it well alone. Now wash your hands again.
    3. Whiteheads and blackheads. If acne is left untreated they may cause this problem. Here the rule is if they’re black, squeeze but if they’re small, white raised lumps leave them alone. All that stuff about clean hands, tissues and stopping if nothing is happening or you see blood, apply here too.
