Hi everybody, I’m Dan. 12 years ago I started Acne .org to share a regimen that I discovered with the world. I suffered for years with acne and tried everything. Like many of you have probably experienced as well, nothing worked. So I went to work researching everything I possibly could about acne (I’m a bit obsessive-compulsive) and after years of trial and error I found a treatment routine that cleared me up completely. I was elated to have found something that worked. Shortly thereafter I was inspired a book I read by Deepak Chopra which talked about giving whatever you can to the world and asking for nothing in return. So I did just that. I made a web site called Acne .org and posted the step-by-step regimen that I followed. For the first 6 years I didn’t make any products. I just told everyone which products to by at the drugstore and how to use them. That’s the thing with The Regimen at Acne .org. It’s about the process as much as it is about the products. You absolutely do not have to buy my products to get clear. You can get everything you need over-the-counter at any drugstore. What you have to do, however, no matter where you get your supplies, is follow the step-by-step process of The Regimen. Pretty much everyone who follows it closely gets clear–even many people with severe cases of acne. I post all of the steps on Acne .org. I am very grateful for this skin treatment regimen. I think that Dan has the right ideas when it comes to ridding your face of acne. The gentle cleanser and the benzoyl peroxide included with this kit are top notch. You will not find another benzoyl peroxide that comes even close to this product. The cleanser is very similar to Cetaphil’s skin cleanser.
I will say, however, that the moisturizer included with this kit is absolutely horrible. It reacts with the BP treatment and serves to burn and irritate your skin. If anything, it will cause more acne breakouts rather than remedy them. It is also very greasy and leaves skin shiny.
For this reason alone, I cannot recommend purchasing this starter kit. A better choice would be to purchase a large bottle of the treatment (which is unrivaled) and possibly a large bottle of the cleanser (but Cetaphil or something similar would be equally good). Find another moisturizer! If you do, let me know what you find. I use Key’s Soap RX Sunscreen for my AM moisturizer and it works great. Still looking for a good evening moisturizer that is somewhat similar (cream and non-greasy, and of course something that doesn’t burn my face).

I bought this, the jojoba oil as well as the AHA I freakin love it! Sure it’s a bit oily AT FIRST but after that it absorbs! Then the next morning you’ll find your zits dying bit by bit. Wonderful product and have just used it for 3 days. I’ll come back and review again when my zits are gone. But yeah it’s better than all the acne products out there, its non-comedogenic, it doesn’t create new zits, it doesn’t burn my face, peel my face, hurt my face, it’s just simple. A very very good product with a very good price.

I purchased this kit because I was sick of the spotty results I was getting with Proactiv, plus the high cost for mediocre results. I am not slamming Proactiv, in fact I still use all the leftover “repairing lotion” as my BP treatment, I just wasn’t satisfied with my continued breakouts on that system. So, I decided to give the [...] regimine a shot, and I haven’t regretted that choice once in the 3 weeks I’ve been using it. I have followed the process to the letter (although I started with more benzoyl peroxide because I had been using Proactiv for a few years), and the process has been working exactly as set out on the website. The second week of use I developed one nodule (which had been surfacing before I started the regimine) and another pimple. Now, after the third week, all acne has healed, no new pimples are forming, and my scarring is slowly beginning to fade. I actually have hope again that my skin will be clear and glowing — Hope I had lost during my years of struggling with acne while using Proactiv.
I also purchased the 10% AHA lotion, because in addition to my pimples I am getting wrinkles. Ah, the joys of aging gracefully… The combination of the normal [...] regimine day and night, with the replacement of AHA for my night time moisturizer has made such a dramatic difference.
Bottom line: This works, it costs roughly the same as Proactiv but you get much larger quantities, and if you follow the regimine you won’t look back. I recommend this product very highly for anyone with mild to severe acne.

my skin has never been better. you have to slowly build up your skin’s tolerance to the benzoyl peroxide… and be consistent – no slacking! it pays off. my skin looks and feels amazing. i also recommend using the jojoba oil (you can mix it or not) in the winter when your skin is especially dry. the aha is great for a sporadic exfoliant – it helps with blackheads!

Acne.com’s method really helps. My acne is not entirely gone, but it is so drastically reduced that it is amazing. I do not use the moisturizer very often, since I have quite oily skin naturally, and so even with benzoyl peroxide about 1.5 times a day, I do not dry out too much.
The cleanser is very gentle and does and excellent job of preparing the skin for the treatment.
The bottles are big enough that they last quite a while too, which is excellent.
If you have struggled with acne and had difficulty finding a treatment that works for you, buy this starter kit and look at acne.com’s regimen videos. You may find that you need to tweak it to fit your personal needs, but it is a great start(er kit).
