How do I treat my acne?
Do you have bad acne? Do you have a few bumps that come and go? I’ve had both for 10 years, and I’ve come up with some methods that help.
1. Drink water. Drink lots of water. It’ll hydrate you from the inside out and get rid of the acne. Trust me; I was a sceptic that water would help. It does.
2. Sleep. Your body heals and recovers during your sleep. Different stages of sleep heal and recharge different things for your body. (Lots of biology/anatomy behind it.) When you sleep, your body will fight the acne naturally. It can look much much better after getting super amounts of sleep.
3. Wash your face before sleeping, and when you wake up. Washing it before you sleep will clean out all of the pollution junk, dead cells, and extra oils that pile up and clog your pores. Washing when you wake up will do the same; it’ll clean out the cells that died and extra oils you made while you were sleeping.
4. I can’t stress how much scrubing/cleaning your face in circles can help. It’ll knock out the dirt and polution from pores that you won’t get if you only scrup in one direction. It really does help. Scrub every pore. (Yes, it can take a couple of minutes of scrubbing to make sure you got them all.)
5. Use warm water while washing your face to upen your pores. You’ll notice a difference. Cold water will close the pores and you won’t be able to clean them properly.
6. Try different products. I’ve mentioned the ones I’ve found that work well for cleaning my face. These aren’t exactly medications for acne, but if you have to use a medication, I’ve found one that is cheap and works well while not necessarily drying your face too deathly much. Comment or message and I’ll tell you which one.
7. Every day. Every single day. Take the time to work with your face. Clean it thoroughly. Missing one day can cause an unstoppable tiny armies called zits.
8. If you end up getting a big scab or sore where there once was a giant zit, don’t just leave it because it can scar (depending on how easily you scar.) I recommend a tiny bit of Neosporin and it’ll heal up faster with no scar.
9. Don’t mess with your acne. Don’t pop it. I’m not exactly sure why it helps not to mess with it. I think when you pop it, it spreads bacteria to other pores. Also, sores take longer to heal if you pick at them anywhere on your body. Your body knows what it’s doing; let it decide when to get the blemish out of your system.
10. The most IMPORTANT thing is to stay positive. Okay, that’s not the most important, but it will help. I know acne is depressing, but stay happy and healthy and your face will do the same. I can tell when I’m depressed or stressed (rhyme!), I have more acne. It’s because of the type of hormone or chemical or whatever stuff your body sends out when you get depressed. And yes, everyone gets depressed, even the happiest people, so don’t think you’re alone with that.
11. Smile. Look in the mirror and tell yourself, “Do you think you can do this? Do you think one day our face will be clear? It will. It will! And we will be over-confident in everything we do!”
If you have confidence while you have acne, you definitely can get rid of it. Believe in yourself because those hormones that you send out when happy or confident are a great fighter against acne.

In order to get rid of your acne and cure it for good you need to make sure that you are hydrated. You should be drinking 50% of your body weight in ounces of water each day. This is a rule to live by, but if you live in a warm climate or are getting exercise then you should drink more like 60% of your body weight in ounces of water each day. Most people that have acne are dehydrated, so it’s important to drink enough water so that your cells and skin stay hydrated.
